Here's a stupid question... I dont recognise all the symbols which come up
when my sims are thinking about things... is there somewhere I can look to
find out what they all represent? I know that one heart is 'make out' and
two is 'woo hoo', but I'm not sure about so many of the others... maybe they
don't matter as much anyway ;)

Can anyone help? Hope I'm not being a dunce here! Just feel like everyone
seems to automatically know what they mean, and I dont... had the same
problem with Sims1!!

I have the same problem, though I had no problem with the first Sims.

Part of it is now the diamond above the heads often blocks the thought
bubble.

No, you aren't a dunce. There are a couple I am still stumped by, and I
finally figured out the one that was giving me the most trouble - it's a
stove with what looks to be a thermometer beside it - it means there is no
space on the counters to cook a meal.

Some of the others are a little more obvious - the one that looks like two
clouds is "I need to talk to someone". The shower head is "I need to take a
bath", the one that looks like chicken drumsticks is "I need to eat". The
toilet is "I need to go to the bathroom". The one that has the computer is
"I need to have some fun".

The rest I probably haven't figured out yet.

Those are necessities needs, so they are obvious. Don't worry about
figuring the other ones out. I think they are meant to be vague so it's
easier for people to tell stories.

Yeah, that one was driving me crazy. I couldn't figure out why the sim
wouldn't cook. I could see the thought bubble but didn't know what it meant.
It took me a couple of hours to figure it out by comparing what what was
going on with another sim in a different house.

Some of them are conversation topics. You can usually tell if they're
talking about the weather. Small feet are that someone is in their way, or
something. I wish we had a site that listed all of the thought bubbles,
though.
